Prof. Dr. Thierry Langer - Head Pharmacophore Research, CEO
Dr. Thierry Langer (1962) is heading the Computer Aided Molecular
Design Group at the Institute of Pharmacy (Leopold Franzens University of
Innsbruck, Austria). After his pharmacy M.S. degree (1987) he obtained a
Ph.D. degree in medicinal chemistry at the University of Vienna (Austria) in
1991. He then spent one year as a Schroedinger post-doc fellow at the University Louis
Pasteur (Strasbourg, France) with Prof. C.-G. Wermuth. In 1992 he moved to
the University of Innsbruck, where he grew up the computer aided molecular design
group. He was nominated as associate professor for
pharmaceutical chemistry in 1997.
His main research interests are
focused on theoretical pharmaceutical chemistry, drug design, and
pharmacophore elucidation using molecular modeling techniques as well as QSAR
and 3D-QSAR.
Dr. Gerhard Wolber - Executive Partner Technology, CTO
As one of the founders of Inte:Ligand, Dr. Gerhard Wolber
is heading the group for
"software, technology and algorithmic science" at Inte:Ligand. After his
MSc. degree in applied
computer science (application area: computer aided drug design) he
finished his PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of
Innsbruck. Gerhard Wolber developed the two programs "CombiGen" (ilib
diverse) and "LigandScout", which are now marketed by Inte:Ligand and form
the technical and scientific basis for Inte:Ligand's software.
His research interests conclude the development of algorithms for
drug-receptor interaction, virtual screening, 2D and 3D visualization
techniques as well as 3D pharmacophore modeling and its use to solve
biological problems.
Prof. Dr. Hermann Stuppner - Head Natural Products
Dr. Hermann Stuppner is head of the Institute of Pharmacy at the
Leopold-Franzens Universty of Innsbruck, Austria. After his pharmacy M.S.
degree (Innsbruck) he obtained a Ph.D. in pharmacognosy (1985, University
of Munich, Germany). He then spent a year as a post-doc fellow at the
University of California (Irvine, USA). In 1987 he moved to Innsbruck
where he grew up his phytochemistry group. In 1993 he was nominated as
Dozent and 1997 as professor for pharmacognosy. Since 2000 he is head of
the Institute of Pharmacy.
His main interests are focused in the area
of isolation and structure elucidation of natural products with
anti-inflammatoric, anti-asthmatic, and anti-neoplastic activity.
Moreover, he is interested in establishing structure-activity
relationships of natural products as well as in phytochemical analytics
using HPCL, GC/MS and CZE techniques.
Mag. Thomas Mutschlechner - Financial Advisor, CFO
Mag. Thomas Mutschlechner is currently working as a consultant in accounting and controlling for several international companies. He completed his business studies specialised in informatics and marketing in Innsbruck, Austria (1992 - 1995) and Copenhagen, Denmark (1995 - 1996).
