Sharon Bryant joined Inte:Ligand in 2009 as CEO. She was previously a Research Scientist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for 17 years. Her research involved molecular modeling of novel opioid peptide derivatives, opioid G-protein coupled receptors, and development of pharmacophores to identify structural templates for novel lead compounds for investigative research and therapeutic drugs. She has authored and co-authored more than 60 peer reviewed research articles, several reference volumes and software reviews and almost 50 conference proceedings and is an active member of numerous international professional societies and committees.

Prof. Gerhard Wolber, PhD - Head of Technology, Partner

As one of the founders of Inte:Ligand, Prof. Gerhard Wolber is heading the group for "software, technology and algorithmic science" at Inte:Ligand. After his MSc. degree in applied computer science (application area: computer aided drug design) he finished his PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Innsbruck and was appointed in 2009 Professor for Pharmaceutical Chemistry at FU Berlin. Gerhard Wolber wrote the prototypes of the two programs "CombiGen" (ilib diverse) and "LigandScout", which later were developed and marketed by Inte:Ligand.

His research interests are the development of algorithms for drug-receptor interaction, virtual screening, 2D and 3D visualization techniques as well as 3D pharmacophore modeling and its use to solve biological problems.

Prof. Hermann Stuppner, PhD - Head of Natural Product Discovery, Partner

Dr. Hermann Stuppner is head of the Institute of Pharmacy at the Leopold-Franzens Universty of Innsbruck, Austria. After his pharmacy M.S. degree (Innsbruck) he obtained a Ph.D. in pharmacognosy (1985, University of Munich, Germany). He then spent a year as a post-doc fellow at the University of California (Irvine, USA). In 1987 he moved to Innsbruck where he grew up his phytochemistry group. In 1993 he was nominated as Dozent and 1997 as professor for pharmacognosy. Since 2000 he is head of the Institute of Pharmacy.

His main interests are focused in the area of isolation and structure elucidation of natural products with anti-inflammatoric, anti-asthmatic, and anti-neoplastic activity. Moreover, he is interested in establishing structure-activity relationships of natural products as well as in phytochemical analytics using HPCL, GC/MS and CZE techniques.
